Covid-19 has had a significant impact on everyone over the course of the last year. Throughout Canada, animal shelters have seen an increased need from the community, particularly for pet food, and the Greater Moncton SPCA is no exception. In response to the community need for support due to Covid, we have launched a new program called Another Chance Food Bank. This program provides food, free of charge, for pet owners in need throughout Southeastern New Brunswick to help ensure that financial constraints don’t separate families from their pets.
Thanks to the recent support from Humane Canada, we have been able to extend our Another Chance Food Bank program and make it a permanent program offering of the Greater Moncton SPCA. This community support program will help ensure those in our community who need a helping hand are able to care for their pets during these challenging times.
If the cost of feeding your pet is causing financial hardship for you, Another Chance Food Bank can provide you with temporary support free of charge, delivery is also available to ensure there are no barriers to accessing this support.
If you would like to support this initiative by making a donation, you can drop off pet food (unopened bags only please) or other pet products at the shelter any time at our contactless donation drop off area, or you can make a financial donation on our website here.
Please contact us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at (506) 857-8698 for more information about the program or to learn about our simple application process and to request food for your pet(s).
